Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because I believe people deserve a place where they can be honest about what’s happening in their lives without having to pretend everything is okay.

I enjoy helping people make sense of difficult experiences, understand themselves more clearly, and figure out what they want their lives to look like.

Sometimes we know something needs to change but aren't sure where to start. Therapy can be a place to figure that out together.

What I Believe About Therapy

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My job isn't to tell you how to live it. My job is to help you better understand yourself, challenge patterns that may be holding you back, and develop tools for moving forward.

Therapy should feel safe, accepting, honest, and sometimes challenging. You should feel comfortable being yourself without worrying about having the "right" answers.

My approach is primarily cognitive and skills-based, focusing on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Most importantly, I want what we do in therapy to be useful in your everyday life.

What You Can Expect

When you meet with me, you can expect me to be present, curious, straightforward, and genuinely interested in your experience.

You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We'll work together to understand what's bringing you in, what you want to change, and what's getting in the way.

Our sessions may include exploring your experiences, processing emotions, challenging unhelpful thoughts, or learning practical skills you can use between sessions.

Who I Work Best With

I particularly enjoy working with adults navigating change, transition, uncertainty, or feeling stuck.

You might be dealing with relationships, boundaries, life transitions, self-understanding, or simply wondering, "What comes next?"

You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.

The clients who tend to work particularly well with me are curious, open to new perspectives, and willing to participate in the process. You don't need all the answers. You just need to be willing to show up and be honest.

My goal is to create a space where you can feel understood without judgment, challenged without criticism, and supported while creating meaningful change.

You don't have to figure it all out alone.
